Safeguarding Adults Week 2022

The Rochdale Borough Safeguarding Adults Board is holding its fourth annual Safeguarding Adults Awareness Week 21 – 27 November 2022.
Safeguarding really is ‘everyone’s business’ and it is a responsibility we all share here in Rochdale.
The principle focus of the week will be on raising awareness of self-neglect.
Self-neglect is a key priority for us all in Rochdale as self-neglect continues to be the most prevalent theme of recent Safeguarding Adults Reviews undertaken by the board.
The week will provide a key opportunity for members of the public and practitioners to find out more about the different types of self-neglect, such as hoarding and lack of self-care and to recognise the signs that someone might need help and support.
During the week we also want to take the opportunity to find out more about what members of the public and practitioners know about safeguarding and the work of the safeguarding board in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of adults with care and support needs in the borough.
