The Child's Lived Experience

Description: With a statutory, serious case review and peer researched evidential base we will explore the child’s lived experience when parents/carers are given notice of Pre-Proceedings (the period before court proceedings begin in applications for care orders) as a result of the Local Authority having on-going concerns with the parent’s ability to meet the needs of the child or be protective of them.

The training also considers the roles and responsibilities of all agencies from the referral in to CSC, through child protection process and escalation into pre proceedings.

The seminar will give you the opportunity to explore the important role professionals play in creating better experiences and outcomes for children, insight into Legal Gateway decision making meetings, alongside how to create a multi-agency impact if we are unable to divert away from care proceedings.
