Motivational Interviewing and the Cycle of Change – an introduction

• This awareness session provides a short introduction to Motivational interviewing and the Cycle of Change – two models we are embedding within Rochdale Borough Children’s Services.
• Motivational Interviewing is a counselling approach designed to help people find the motivation to make a positive behaviour change.
• The cycle of change is a key theory that supports Motivational interviewing and works to help people move through the stages to achieve change.
• Find out how we use these models to improve outcomes for the children young people and families that we work with in Children’s Services.
