Family Safeguarding Model: Thresholds, Duties and Family Rights

Rochdale Children’s Social care are progressing towards full implementation of the Family Safeguarding Model, first developed in Hertfordshire. This model ensures children’s social care and partner agencies consider the how thresholds are applied at all levels, Early Help, Child in Need and Child Protection. The aim is to ensure work with families is done at the lowest possible level, at the same time empowering families to make and sustain change, improve outcomes for children and young people, and reduce the negative impact such interventions can have.

 

These two dates are train the trainer sessions and cover Thresholds, Duties and Family Rights which fit at the centre of this model. The training is suitable for all those who lead safeguarding training and will take responsibility for cascading this training within their organisations.
